WE ARE CREATED TO WORSHIP
There is no human act more important than worship. Because we have been justified in Jesus Christ, we are called to worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit eternally. Through His sanctifying work, the Holy Spirit shapes our character and crafts our loves so that in the day-to-day our attention will be directed and re-oriented to His honor and glory. We know and trust the Lord is doing these things, and so we will provide a haven for rich, purposeful, and reverent worship encouraging an eternal perspective unmoved by the world’s demands.
WE TAKE OUR WORSHIP TO THOSE WHO DENY HIM
Our worship does not belong to us. We will take our worship to places and people where it does not exist. This could be to our next door neighbor or a friend in this city or beyond. By thought, word and deed we will show doubters and critics that the Lord is a just, kind, and merciful God; that restoration from sin comes through repentance and forgiveness; and through our acts of mercy, the Lord cares for His creation. We will extend the presence of Christ through our friendship.
WE WORSHIP TOGETHER AS THE LORD’S PEOPLE
I Peter 2
The Lord calls His people to live, serve, and worship together in community, creating an atmosphere where our worship is sharpened, reflective, and reinforced. With the necessary and heart-changing tools of Biblical instruction and the means of grace, we seek to train, love, and live in such a way that our theology and habits are aligned. We will share life together in the every day where our shepherds know their sheep and the sheep know their shepherds.
